I am looking at an Iphone 6plus on Very and it says service provider "Not specified" does this mean I can use any sim card in it? Sorry to be so dim:o

    I assume it will lock to the first sim you put in.

    But not sure. You're best contacting customer servic a and asking before hand.

    Yep, it's not a dim question.

    iPhones bought direct from Apple in the UK are usually completely unlocked.

    iPhones bought from other places may lock to the first network used, and will then need to be unlocked.

    Yep, it's not a dim question.

    iPhones bought direct from Apple in the UK are usually completely unlocked.

    iPhones bought from other places may lock to the first network used, and will then need to be unlocked.

    The only supplier that has the "first sim locks" policy is CarPhoneWarehouse.

    Any handset from other retailers like John Lewis, Currys, Giffgaff and Three are all completely unlocked like buying sim free direct from Apple.

    If anyone is worried when buying an Iphone and it locking to the first sim card just get a three PAYG and put that in first, Three don't lock their phones and it should remain completely unlocked, if it does lock just contact CS and they will unlock for free (you shouldn't need to though as as soon as its registered on the network it will be added to apples database of unlocked phones)

    SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
