I took out a o2 contract (free n95, £35 a month for 18 months)
When the phone was delivered I took the option to return it under the 14 day period as I decided the phone wasnt suitable along with the contract on the understanding I would be liable for "call charges" only
As the phone and sim were unusued I hence expected to pay nothing
O2 are saying Im liable for 36.17 (35.00 for the first month and 1.17 for the day i ordered)
Is this right? Id understand if it had been used but I reckon as it was unused this seems a bit unfair
At the end of the day I will pay it and not be too bothered but was just wondering if this is right that i should have to pay this amount?
Cheers in advance

You will get charged initially, but then you should get your money back after a the account is closed down and the system recalculates everything (which takes a couple of months).
It happened to me a few years back and I eventually got all my money back. Don't bother ringing O2 customer services cos they don't have a clue. They told me the same thing back then.
Hope this helps.0
