Hi, I am in need of advice about a parking ticket that I was issued a few days ago. It was in Doncaster and I got a ticket on my windscreen for £70, or £100 if not paid within a week. I had been in a rush and was stressed and failed to pay for a ticket (ridiculous I know - something I NEVER do, but didn't know this car park and was not with it).
My question is do I pay up? or do I ignore it? Or do I pay something? To me it seems ridiculously high... and I'm not sure that this is a legitimate fine.
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

p.s.The company are CPS services Limited0

none of these charges are fines, they are invoices , speculative invoices for perceived rule breaking
from what you have said, this is UKCPS from leeds , an IPC member
read the newbies sticky thread near the top of this forum, it tells you how to appeal
also read the latest parking prankster blog about ADR and what this means for a non-BPA member like UKCPS too
if I have not got the correct company, be more specific so we can identify the correct company involved
 if its this one
 Car Park Services Limited http://www.carparkservices.com
then its a BPA member so you appeal it and then go to popla for a further appeal0

This pathetic little tinpot outfit is not a member of an Accredited Trade Association and so they should have no way of obtaining the vehicle keeper's name and address from the DVLA. So ignore them.
There have been suggestions that in the past they have unlawfully obtained data from DVLA via a third party, but a stop has now been put to this.
Come back and let us know if you do hear anything more from them, because if you do someone is going to be in big trouble (and it's not you!)Je suis Charlie.0

Failure to offer a 40% reduction is often a giveaway sign that a parking company is not a member of an ATA AOS - as is the case here, and bazster's advice to IGNORE is absolutely on the money.
Despite any inclination to do otherwise, do not make any form of contact with them. Come back if you receive anything (extremely unlikely) through the post from them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I did read the thread title and thought it was the BPA member I listed
then I read post #2 and thought of UK CPS , because the OP wrote CPS
then I couldnt decide who it was so altered my post in order for the OP to actually give us the true details on this company and if they are in the BPA or IPC or not
if in doubt , they should wait for the NTK, but due to so many companies having similar names its almost impossible to work them out sometimes lol lol
either way, the OP needs to read the NEWBIES sticky thread and learn just in case they get another one from a trade body member in future (which they probably will)
I suspect they mean this lot then ?

Given that the OP said "Carparking and Select Services Ltd." I presume it's "Carparking and Select Services Ltd." Don't see how they could make it any clearer!

We know them, they do operate in Doncaster, ignore them.Je suis Charlie.0

until the OP returns and state the full name AND ADDRESS of the company , we can only guess, and by guessing we can give false info ,
so until the OP returns ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,0

There is only one company in the entire fair land of Britain named "Carparking and Select Services Ltd.", therefore there is no need to guess, we know who it is. Why make such a bloody production of it?Je suis Charlie.0
