Hi everyone, it's my first post on here so please be gentle with me!
I am in the 'fortunate' position where I represent 5 properties currently being supplied by Flogas on a metered estate. We are currently all out of contract and I have been given authority by my neighbors to act on their behalf.
All the properties are on a combi heating/water system.
We all have recently been sent a letter from Flogas with the following offer:
45.5ppl fixed for 9 months
£50 credit on everyone's account
13.6p/d standing charge
2 year contract
I have been with Flogas since we moved into the property which is located in a rural location for 8 years. I know Flogas have had their administrative 'moments' but they seem to have improved somewhat in the last few years and as long as I provide a regular meter reading, the billing seems to be accurate. We are currently paying:
48.29ppl
10.9p/d standing charge
My question is twofold really;
Is the offer competitive in the marketplace? What are you paying and who with?
If anybody has recently changed supplier (particularly from Flogas) on a metered estate, was it an easy process or a load of grief?
Any advice or information greatly received!
Thanks, Neil.:beer:

Surely, the answer is to go on the UKLPG website, see who can supply, then ask them for quotes???0

Have a look at the Bulk LPG thread which is sticky at the top of this page, it has plenty of information about pricing and changing suppliers (some for metered estates, search the thread)
The short answer to your question is that the Flogas quote is a joke, Extra Fuel (just one of many LPG suppliers) is quoting on their website 37.5ppl fixed price.
For a 5 house estate, you should be looking to knock another few ppl of this. I am currently paying 25.0ppl with Woldlink, but this is about the lowest price that you can get on the open market.0
