  • It's interesting considering that there's not a real credit score. I mean it's not a point based system (if I'm correct).
  • HappyMJ so now you have a £4,500 limit while you earn more. What's the multiplier in your case?

[Based on torbrex's comment I think I should forget this because it seems like there's no such a thing as X times your income.]

Now earn around £400 per week. I honestly have no idea how they figure it out. It's probably a lower limit as I have much more credit available to me now at around £48,000 limit in total - I currently owe £26,000 as opposed to 10 years ago. When the Capital One card was approved I'd only had a few credit cards at the time and no personal loans.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

The highest I ever had is the British Airways American Express card with a credit limit of £9,000.
In the US my Ameircan Airlines Citibank Credit Card has a $10,500 credit limit... I don't know anyone who managed to get high 5 or 6 figures of credit limit not in the UK nor in the US.

I got a new card last year to use in America and they gave me a limit of £1600 straight away but would not increase it until I had made 4 payments to it, I actuallt lied about my income to get the card and have increased the limt to £2.5k since then with no proof of income.
  • jumperabv3: There are cards out there with more than a million in credit limit. For instance in Singapore it's this one: youtube /watch?v=YNHcHkz4lus

While in the UK it must be the Coutts & Co Silk Card or something similar.

Must have annual income of S$500,000 and an annual fee of S$2,000 applies. Sure go for it.

    S$1,000,000 = US$710,000 = £460,000
