The meat arrived.. this is over 200l freezer - still lots of space so all good0 -
Fingers crossed - hate to throw in a word of caution but (sorry if I'm wrong, my memory isn't what it once was!) - does Zara not have a bit of a sensitive tummy?
I'm sure I remember you having problems when you were trying to find an alternative kibble for her at some point?
If so, please take the transition extra slowly - I'd love Maisie to be on raw but the only meats that don't go straight through are Chicken and Fish (all types) so I could never get a balanced long term diet from thatGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

My dog had a very sensitive stomach so I went with a higher percentage of bone than the recommended 10% to start with, then reduced it.0 -
How are Ewa and the dogs getting on with it, GR?0

Thanks - all dogs seem to have taken to raw with no problems. Zara is not too keen on mince for some reason but all good.
Yes, Zara had a very sensitive stomach when younger (Rising, what a memory you got wawwwww) but all fine now.
Thanks again everyone xx0 -
Sprinkle a tiny bit of rice or sweetcorn onto anything they don't eat, gets em interested again.0

Some dogs can be fussy over the texture of mince. It can vary a lot from supplier to supplier, some make almost a paste-like mushy mince which a lot of dogs aren't fussed on, others make much courser minces.
The DAF stuff I buy tends to be a much finer mince than from The Dog Food Company. Mine aren't fussy about it, but you could always feed it as a frozen block if she prefers having something to crunch on (you could partially defrost and freeze in smaller portions if 1lb is too much for one meal). I often feed frozen as it takes them a bit longer to get through it.0 -
I am glad to hear it is going well for them all GR
Is the kitten eating raw too?? lol
I know a lot of people recommend this supplier for good quality raw feed

That is is quite pricey PP - you can get this meat in normal shops for that price hmmm0

I agree. My raw dog food costs just over half these prices..
My 11 year old has been fed it since he was 12 weeks old. He is fit, healthy and acitve and only sees the vet for his annual check up when I am praised for his good condition.0
