Do you think it's wise to keep my cats in tonight in case of Halloween fireworks?

There will be fireworks just about every night for the next two or three weeks. Fortunately, my cat doesn't go out, but the bangs do send her into hiding. She has a couple of dark corners where she feels safe.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Can you temporarily tape the flap shut/tape some cardboard over it if it's broken? Then you can let them around the house at least.

one of my cats rams the cat flap repeatedly if I try and tape it shut.. they seem less panicked if I keep them in the bedroom, they tend to hide under the bed and sleep

Can't you put something in front of it?

Funny my cat doesn't seem to take any notice, she's an indoor cat mainly - doesn't go out much.
