See Santa @ Harrods

I went to Selfridges last week with my 2 children and they thoroughy enjoyed it. They had a ride on the santa train which took them round a track 3 times before stopping in front of the door to the grottos. I guess there were 3 santas!
The visit was free except for £3 to reserve the train, although you can just turn up without reserving seats on the train. As it happened, we turned up half an hour early and went straight through as it was fairly quiet.
Selfridges itself wasn't very christmassy though which was a shame.
The teddy bear window outside of Debenhams was fantastic though and was very, very entertaining!!0 -
I have two adult's and three children's tickets for Harrods' Grotto tomorrow (Christmas Eve) at 12.30pm available if anyone wants them. Sadly we cannot go now
and it's a shame to waste them.
Please PM if you are interested.0 -
Just wanted to post a quick thank you to the orginal poster of Harrods Santa info. Went yesterday with a friend and 5 children in total. The kids really enjoyed the visit. My 8 year did query the fact there was 6 doors and probably more than one santa. After a bit of stretched truth seemed happy with explanation and eventually on bus journey came to the conclusion that it probably really was the real Father Christmas. Brought photo for grandparents and myself, bit of extra expense but have to admit on looking at them last night did bring back some great memories of the day generally so worth it. Lots of laughs and making my eldest probably last christmas as a questionable believer (she is probably just hedging her bets in case she doesn't get any presents) so special. Thanks again and Merry Christmas.:D0

I've just had an email from harrods
"May I kindly advise that tickets for the Christmas Grotto can be purchased from the Harrods website www.harrods.com from August 21 2008."
it says purchased, so I dont know if that means they are charging this year. what a shame if they are.
