Vodafone smart speed 6
I'm looking at the smart speed 6 for my son, any opinions on the phone? I would probably get this unlocked and use a Tesco payg sim as I do for my daughter and myself. It's a reasonable price and the right size for him (anything above 4.5" is too big). Initially he will mainly use it for games, Skype, YouTube etc as well as using the actual phone & text function so he only needs basic although I think the smart first 6 is a little too basic - I would prefer a 4G phone.
Anyone have this phone and how do you find it in everyday use?

Don't know about Speed 6, but Smart 4 was very expensive (~£20?) to unlock.0

Codes available on eBay for £1.65, and +ve feedback for the seller from previous purchasers for this model so hopefully that wouldn't be a problem.0

Have you considered the smart prime 6. £30 more but much better phone. 3rd best budget phone according to pcadvisor - smart ultra 6 being the number 1.
I'm actually planning to try and go get a look at and buy an ultra 6 tomorrow to replace my iphone 4.
I'm planning to do same as you, purchase unlock code so I can use my three SIM card.
Vodafone pay as you go rates are horrifically high compared to three! 10 times the price for calls, texts and data!
Guess they've got to make their money some how when producing good phones so cheap.
PC advisor review:Overall, we’re pretty disappointed with the Smart Speed 6. The camera lacks basic features that other budget smartphones have (autofocus) and its low resolution display is pretty off-putting. Yes, it’s only £50 and you can’t expect the world for £50, the Vodafone Smart Prime 6 is only £30 more and is much, much better. It has a larger, 720p HD display, a faster processor, the MicroSD card slot handles up to 64GB, it has a higher resolution camera, its thinner and looks more premium than the Smart Speed 6.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -
When I looked at them in the shop the prime looked a bit on the big side as its only for a nearly 12 year old with small hands but he may prefer the slightly larger screen. There's not a huge difference in size so if it's a much better phone for an extra £20 then it's worth another look. Thanks.0
