    Sounds fair.

    I genuinely don't think that you've been ripped off at all. You were offered the displayed rate and accepted it. You could have gone elsewhere but the implication is that you didn't even look.

    The cashier tried to call someone 'perhaps to get a better rate' but no more came of it. Is €10,000 a particularly large cash amount for a bank? I don't know but I wouldn't have expected any possibly change in exchange rate to be significant to be honest.

    I'm sorry but I have to agree with the other posters on this one.

    Not for large amounts.

    My suggestion would be that you go to your bank, take a note of the displayed rate and then ask for their rate for €10k. See if they improve it. I personally doubt that any change would improve it that much but I'm willing to be wrong.

    I still don't think that they've done anything remotely wrong but if there is a significant difference they may be able to improve on their initial price.

    They concealled that information for me.

    what exactly did they conceal from you?
    That Monday follows Saturday?
    That exchange rates vary day-by-day?
    The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

    No he didn't. She tried to call, infront of me, she failed (nobody responded) and she just gave me the rate on the display.

    Yes you did.
    From your OP;
    Anyway, she failed, because it was closed on Saturday

    If you didn't think it was fair why did you go ahead and complete the transaction? You seem to be wanting to fight a battle that you have no chance of winning because the bank has done nothing wrong.

    I don't demant the rate that other banks/services give. I demand the better rate that they would normally give for that amount. And they didn't even advised me to come on Monday to get a better rate. That is concealling of information and unfair treating. Financial institutions have very strict regulations for this. I expected in this forum to answer knowledgeable people, not trolls.
    Sorry we failed to meet your expectation then: indeed usually we don't answer trolls, but in this case it seems we have.
