Thanks I was worried for a bit there!0

The confusion is you implied that it leaves a mark on your credit file which could harm your credit rating. A soft ID search cannot be seen by anyone but yourself so doesn't effect your credit rating.
It is completely harmless so therefore irrelevant.
I never said it harms you credit file, I never even mentioned a credit check, If you read what I said, I mentioned ID check which leaves a search or entry what ever you want to call it.
Your the one assuming things which are untrue.0 -

You responded to a question of whether they mark your credit report with "yes".
If you meant they marked it with a harmless soft search that would not damage your credit rating then you should have stated that. Otherwise people could have mistakenly thought that signing up for a bookmakers could damage their credit rating.
You need to be clear when you post advice0 -

Maybe I'm misunderstanding OP, but I don't see any mention of this being related to a bonus! Thus the balance *appears to be* 100% the OP's own money.
If this is the case, the bingo site would have a hard time:
1. Refusing a responsible gambling request for exclusion due to problem gambling.
2. Withholding CUSTOMER (not bonus) funds indefinitely when someone is no longer able to meet the withdrawal requirements due to problem gambling and a site exclusion. As shown by a user, bookies etc do leave a search on your file, It's an ID check so users can withdraw funds without sending documents. And it prevents users signing up who may have self excluded.
You did, however, respond to the following comment:stuart778 wrote:Wait, really? Gambling sites actually leave a mark in your credit report.

Which, given credit reports are generally used to check whether you'll get credit in the future etc, a *mark* is usually a bad thing to have. Just a bit of a misunderstanding I think, so no big deal0
