RBS online banking oddity

I noticed a while back that loading up the online banking page was taking a little while and Firefox would go "not responding" for a short time (similar to when a program tries to access a HDD which is in sleep mode, though I don't recall hearing the drives spin up). I also noticed that NoScript is denying two scripts - one is described as the loopback IP and the other is my IP as the web sees it. I figure this is most likely either some security thing RBS has in place or some typical script is being thwarted by my hosts file.
Nonetheless, obviously I opted not to log in and wanted to investigate further. Any ideas?
FWIW, I'm happy the url and certificate is correct, I ran a virus scan, checked the firefox plug-ins etc, all fine.
