Flights to Singapore have dropped in price.. Cancel and rebook? (BA)

Hey, I have a business trip to Singapore in January, that I'm taking my girlfriend on.

They were £520 at time of booking, but by the time we knew for sure she could go, they were £680.

We booked, thinking they might go up more, a couple of weeks back.

However today, they're £597!

I bought them through SkyScanner, which was an agent called 'Omega Flight Store', who said they are non-refundable.

Anything I can do? They were purchased on an M&S Credit Card.

Not the end of the world, but if I can cancel and rebook, why not!

Thanks

The method of payment is not relevant unless a supplier fails to deliver the service and that is not the case here. Once you buy, always stop looking, it only leads to diappointment

In those price ranges they will most definitely be non-refundable tickets.

This would have been the case booking with any agent or BA direct.

Fully flexible/amendable/refundable tickets would have been many times more, in the thousands.

Fully flexible and refundable economy on BA to Singapore would be about £1900 return. That's the price of flexibility. I think saying it's not the end of the world is a good attitude to have...

It's annoying when this sort of thing happens, but it does happen quite often. However (as people here often point out), would you be willing to pay more if the price had gone up? :)

True story. Paying £160 more than if we'd booked immediately is pretty annoying, although not so bad as we agreed to split 50/50 on her ticket (my half is part of her Christmas present).

Paying £83 more than if we paid today leaves me slightly miffed.

Waiting longer and seeing the flights go up to £800-£900 would have been serious stuff though.

So yeah, it's OK - and we're both excited!

Just make sure you get yourself to one of the Hawker centres, such a good way to get great food.
