Hello all. I'd like to join again. I'm in for another month. I really lost track of my ins and outs last month. Partially due to guilt. I ended up buying 7 new perfumes :( and now feeling that slump again of "why on earth did I do that". So I'm spending today gathering up ALL my makeup, nail polishes, perfumes and doing a full inventory and will be a lot more organised and regimental this next month. I won't list every single item on here, but I will keep a word document with all my items that I have.

So my goals for this month:
    1. Make my list of everything I have to use up today
    2. Continue making care packages for my friends to get these items out and into homes so they will be used
    3. Try not to accept swaps and freebies for the sake of getting freebies unless it's to instantly regift to friends
    4. NO MORE Perfumes and Lush items - I've gone on a massive spending spree with Lush and I need to use them up fast as they are meant to be used immediately instead of being hoarded
    5. I will not buy anything else other than the 2 items that I set aside for my Christmas wishlist. Guerlain meteorites and Louboutin lipstick
    6. Keep a more accurate log of my OUT's to motivate me along the way.

I can kick off this month with a few UU's and OUt's.

TA's - Lush strawberry massage bar - kept it so long that lost it's smell.
UU's - Lush cranberry face mask - shame this is limited edition, it made my skin feel very soft
GA's - I have made a gift box for a friend that included 10 perfume samples, 4 lush items
    Sold 3x on evilbay
    Total: 19 items

Good luck everyone for this month!

I know where you're coming from with the Lush stuff. I have a tub of Dirty that is practically UU and I've loved using it as it really soothed my skin whilst shaving but I know if I go into Lush I won't buy just that one item.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • Quite pleased with how much I managed to get through last month ...

    2 suprise UU's...
Naked blonder lightening shampoo (WDBA, love this, keeps my from looking brassy, and its vegan - though increasingly hard to find)
Revlon babystick blush in 'Tahiti' (WBA, I used this all summer and it gave a lovely natural corally blush. Some reviews say it is very light - it is true at first the colour payoff doesn't look great but it deepens on the skin and is a very natural look, especially on sunkissed skin, though I need something darker for autumn/winter)

OCT PP, things finished in red.

1.Garnier Fructis repair and shine shampoo (one of my HG's WBA)
    2.SKIN organic massage oil
3.Derma 10 anti aging hand and nail cream (particularly good considering it was a cheapie from the poundshop, WBA)
4.Derma 10 derma serum (as above, WBA)
    5. Isadora mascara (lovely thin wand, nice enough formulation but I have others and I have not see Isadora in UK, this was bought on a trip to Ireland, WMBA)
    6. Essence Mineral foundation (did the job, but was not a perfect match shadewise)
    7.Lypsil cherry blossom lipbalm
    8. Astor 'perfect stay' liptint 'berry nude' (WDBA, like the combination of a liptint and salve in one product, perfect colour for me)
    9. Puig bath soap (I was given a gift box of these, nice moisterizing soap but the scent is a bit blah)
    10.BS 'Ananya' eau de toilette

    So, this months PP...

First 3 products carry over from last month...

    1.SKIN organic massage oil
    2.Lypsil cherry blossom lipbalm
    3.BS 'Ananya' eau de toilette
    4. Argan oil hair serum
    5. Make up gallery blush no. 1
    6. Ta ta for now under eye concealer
    7. Primark manuka honey mini hand cream
    8. Naked restoring conditioner
    9. Another 'Puig' soap
    10. Avon Annew instant eye smoother
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Welcome back. Have now cleaned the bathroom and decided I would decant the MUFE cleanser into a pot as its hard to get the product out of the 25ml bottle. Was getting too much out I suspect.

Have also UUed another sample sachet : L'Occitane Hydration Cream. V nice but don't want to be converted to another expensive cream to use for night cream.

  • Welcome back sam.400 & 666paw!

I have just got in from work and I have a few UUs to report:

Bee Good Honey and Propolis 2 in 1 Cream Cleanse 100ml: This had a lovely scent but it possibly caused me to break out which was a shame so I'll stick to my HG. WNBA.

Original Source Skin Quench Blackcurrant and Moringa Oil Shower Gel 250ml: This was quite sickly so I have been using it on and off alongside a different one. WMBA.

Cuticura Orange Flower and Mango Antibacterial Hand Gel 50ml: Really liked this scent - WDBA.

    One from the PP list

Imperial Leather Guava shower gel - really like the scent, can always find it cheap somewhere, but contains sls which I'm trying to cut out.

UU - Conran Body Scrub, bought this from TK Maxx a while back and it was a bit different than the usual ones I'd use (it has beads). I think these are particularly aren't great for environment and if I knew, I wouldn't buy it. It has good packaging so you can all the product out - i might keep the pot actually. I don't think it is value for money either - especially if one pays the full price.

Also UU Hydra Zen Lancome sample. It is lovely.

Painted my nails with Max Factor Pink Whisper (vuuuu) - lovely color. I have also used Essie Gel-Setter Top coat and the Boots Essentials Base Coat.

  • Hello I've been reading this thread for months and enjoying the fact there are other toiletry fanatics like me!
I have hundreds of stuff from sachets, minis, regular, supersize and probably have tried every brand over the years! I should ban myself from boots, qvc and any hot deal related offers but find it very hard. I have started trying to use up certain things in a month like you ladies do and getting the satisfaction when it's done - just like the large bottle of micellar cleansing water I finished tonight.
As its the start to a new month I thought I would write my application to join the no unnecessary toiletries club!
