Well,I think it's not too early to turn our thoughts to the month of December and ponder on the theme for that month....
I know that life as we know it becomes bogged down in some kind of bizarre spend frenzy to do with having a BIG,fancy meal, treats galore and 'let's see who can spend all their pennies on lots of pressies',but I wonder if we should take ourselves off somewhere and just relax, unwind and enjoy big glasses of Igor's vintage pilchard prosecco and Cheffie's anchovy and dill vol au vents (you know, the ones that featured in Booger Off last month)?
So,I'm looking for suggestions please.
Somewhere warm maybe?Or if not warm, with good central heating, hot water bottles aplenty and enough accommodation that means I don't have to bunk with Hubert again.Ever.
Igor has a second cousin living in a swanky BnB in Birmingham, who apparently has vacancies, but I'm sure we can do better than that, can't we?0 -

Who plans on grabbing an nsd today?0 -
December.....we could observe the Festival of Santa Lucia on 6th, when apparently Swedish girls wear headdresses with lighted candles on and take coffee and cakes to their parents.
There is the Winter Solstice around the 21st, with much feasting and a burning Yule log.
We could spend a while in Lapland or the North Pole, stay in a log cabin with a lovely wood burning stove, whilst Igor and co help Santa in his workshop, and Hubert plays with the reindeer.
Then again, December is pantomime season, and we could resurrect the famous Ennessdee Towers panto.......everybody to take a part, the panto being a strange amalgam of a number of different pantos.
Of course we should give each other Christmas presents, so perhaps a couple of days before the big day have our very own Christmas party.
Then we just have to see in the New Year in our own special way....
Just a few ideas to be going on with. Anyone else think of anything for December's theme? One life - your life - live it!0
