Renewing contract

Hi,

I've been with 3 for years. I've always opted for 12 month contracts but last time I renewed and upgraded & was persuaded by a glib salesperson to take an 18 month contract fron Phones 4 U.

It was a cashback offer costing abt. £5-6 per month for first 12 months and then £35 for remaining 6months.However the salesperson told me that I can renew my contract after 12months and then I can get a new similar cash back contract costing £5.Now when I have come to 12months period,I went to Phones 4 u outlet for renewing my contract and the salesperson told me that I can't get any such offer which will cost me so less and the minimum amount which I would have to pay is £35 for any other new contract otherwise I can cancel my contract but will have to still pay £35.

Since I have never taken a 18month contract,I don't know the t&c.Can anyone suggest me what to do now?can i end my contract with 3 and get a new contract...if so will i still have to pay £35 for remaining 6 months.I really can't afford it ...can anyone please help me...what should i do now?
