Password is probably something simple like password but you'll be wanting to format the drive and start again anyway. The Windows that is on it is probably set up for a network and not suitable for use at home and it's probably got a lot of apps that you wouldn't want to have. I'd just reformat and start again.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

windup , the OP OBTAINED the computer from a school had had dissolved (or possibly closed down)
it seems to have originated from the "hanns G" factory
why not ask them again , see if you can get a better answer ?0 -
Do you not understand the distinction between how and where?0

There are ways around this OP, but as most stolen computers are inevitably password protected, your best option is to Google how to do it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"
MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
The first post doesn't answer the question, however many times you quote it. If it did, I wouldn't be asking would I. That's a rhetorical question, no need for another quote or reply.0

Most schools now use active directories, meaning the computer is quite probably trying to access a local server but it can't find it.
Either way, unless you're trying to hack sensitive school data, you might as well just reinstall Windows. You'll need another computer to prepare the installation disk though.0
