  • Did you pay using a credit card, if so might be worth getting the cc company involved as its basically a case of theft.

I usually find Tesco customer service excellent, and when I email them with a problem, I get a solution in hours.

You need to put your complaint in writing, stating what happened, and asking for a copy of the signature of whoever signed for it. Give them a deadline of when you want a response by.

We had a driver deliver shopping to us when we hadn't ordered it. A previous owner had accidentally selected the wrong address when ordering!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It was tempting but I suffer from a conscience... :D

(Some yummy looking pudding items, and over £100 of food!)

The righful owner did get their shopping eventually! I had their mobile number so it was sorted out, and they were still living within the delivery area JUST!

So why do they make you do it? Is it just psychology?

Like when they first made cake mixes and people complained that it didn't feel like baking so they took the dried egg out and made you add your own. :D
  • In the end, they never got back to me. So, I asked the bank to disown the transaction and finally I got my money back. Easier than I thought. Much easier than trying to speak with Tesco customer service.

It usually takes at least a month or more for a chargeback to be investigated and resolved. Are you sure they are not going to charge it back to your card at a later date? Have you got this is writing?

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Why? It makes no difference who signed for it, it wasn't OP. Asking for a copy of the signature implies that OP may have made a mistake and gives Tesco an easy get-out.

Focus on the facts - you ordered shopping, it didn't arrive. Investigating the whys and wherefores is Tesco's problem, not yours.
