Yes, we are. As you might be, had you been woken up by your delightful neighbours screaming at each other at five thirty a.m. two days running.

    V. sorry, in tetchy mode. Many apologies for betraying a bit of real life on here. It seems to be OK for AC but I suppose it is his thread.

Thank you, Gallygirl, for the help. Smodlet out.

Rant & rave all you like on here - better that than ranting at your neighbours and having them unite to scream at you :(. Sympathies, been there in the past and it's wearing - when they're not doing it you wonder when it will start. And where do they get that kind of energy from at that time of the morning .

Forgive me for butting in at this stage. Your title intrigued me as we must be of an age! I have read your thread and had a couple of things that I wanted to reiterate what others have said and add a comment or two.

Your flat does need some 'sweat' equity , decluttering, dressing - one wonders what your agent is doing for their percentage as the photos are appalling and advice is poor! If you look on rightmove at flats in your area priced £350 to £450 k. sort by newest listed and tick under offer, you can see which agents are selling around you and what prices, it does seem that prices might be coming down a bit. Do you have access to people who could help and/or some funds to get things shifting, if so get some help in a good clean freshen up paint , set dressing and get your flat looking ready to move into. Have a look at your competition.

The other alternative is could you rent your flat out and move to Poole ( is that right?) and rent there?

Also don't worry about neighbour cutting tree down, doesn't matter, mentally move out and use your energy to that end, not worrying about unimportant issues. Do not even hint that there is an issue with neighbour.

    Love your username cat .
I'm relaxed about everything , believe it or not .
I will get some bark for the garden . It will be next week now, but it will be done .
I wll tidy up flat at weekend . I will measure stairs and get a quote as to how much it will cost for stairway and ' hallway'.
Other things will be done also .
Once I have done those things, I will ask chase Buchanan to take more pictures .
One thing that I was thinking about .. Reducing to 'offers over £385k'
This may get me into a bidding war hopefully , getting me as near as possible to £400k
I think if I got £395, I could still move and knock something off the asking price in Poole hopefully .

I do not want to rent my place out .
    Thanks ;)

    Good morning all.

AC. Good to see you've got a viewing on Saturday, fingers crossed.

Smodlet - sorry to hear your neighbours are giving you sleepless nights. What on earth are they arguing about at 05.30. Idiots......

Had a fab birthday, was spoilt rotten - just as it should be......:rotfl:

Just going to phone and see if I can get an extra Physio appt. I was dojng well and then decided to clean out the cellar....I am a prize fool. I am now hobbling around and have killer back ache. Plus the paint fumes are getting to me now. Paint always upsets my stomach.......

Viewing a flat tomorrow, and then a flat and a cottage on Saturday.

Seems to be Lots of properties coming on the market but again the good ones are being snapped up.....HOpefully I should find something fairly soon but I'm happy here with DS2 so it's not too critical. I am not going to stress about it.

    Hi, LL,

You take it easy, now! OH is back laying the patio after a few days off with aches and pains, bless him.

Glad you enjoyed your birthday and thank you for the support, and to you, GG.

Neighbours are screaming, shouting, effing and blinding at each other at 5.30 a.m... and at 6.30 a.m., 3.30 p.m, 5.30 p.m., 11 p.m., pretty much any time, really. So yes, even when they are quiet, it is impossible to relax, concentrate properly (hence the haplessness re PayPal) as we are just waiting for them to start again. They are toxic together and their children have no chance in an atmosphere like that. No chance at all.

Thank you, GG, I do actually feel a bit better for that. Usually I come here for distraction, to forget about them but they have worn my energy levels down to the point where I can no longer "park" them elsewhere. Done now, so sorry, Sunny Smodlet!... not.

Another viewing on sat. That makes 2 .
The good thing in one sense , is that I haven't been without a viewing in each week that it has been marketed .
Apart from that , today is still a misery :(
