google street view shows cars parked on the supposedly private land where the signs are in front of the businesses

I dont see any on street parking there, it shows a yellow line and then a cycle way, the car pics show this being straddled and obstructed

frankly, there is nowhere to park along there
  • Yeh everyone parks thete pre 8am as the traffic wardens dont start until then. The other problem I have, is the white car behind my car in the pic did not get a ticket. How is this possible??
  • I see what you are saying regarding the yellow line and cycle way, but is this not down to the council to engorce and therefor irrelevant to my ticket as it was issued by the provate company?
I hope that doesnt sound argumentative as thays not how i mean it..... if everyone thinks i should pay it coz im proven to be totally in the wrong then i will

Looks very much a road covered by road traffic enactments - there are council parking restriction notices along the street. Time to call the council for formal confirmation, then it's time to report this to the police as fraud.

Once you get confirmation from the council, you must make a complaint to the DVLA and the IPC that this outfit has obtained your data without reasonable cause.

Trading Standards might be interested too.

As an aside - looks a bit of a dodgy place to be leaving a nice car like yours! :rotfl:

Cycle ways, AFAIUI, with broken lines can be parked on; it's an offence to park on those with unbroken lines.

No one here will recommend you pay this (unless ArfurX crawls by! - in joke!), there's plenty of meat left on this bone.

    +1

The pics should be good enough for them to confirm but you may find they will send a CEO to issue real tickets for that location now.
