Affinion International (AI) Claim - Any success yet?

Options
Hiya

We've had a claim submission document from AI.

We are in the process of filling it out and submitting a claim, however we were wondering if anyone else had already submitted a claim and whether there were any issues arising once the claim had been submitted? Any further questions asked or challenges set up by AI?

Was your claim successful?

Cheers

Tony

Shorty after submittimg my form, I received a cheque for £96. It was slightly less than I expected, but I let it go as it felt like free money.

On Monday this week, I received a cheque from TSB for a further £244 to cover payments made before £2005, which fell outside the scheme. I had made no claim for this; they seem to have coughed up voluntarily.

    Delighted.

    Many thanks...
  • Hi,

I received a letter inviting me to claim.

A section asks "Why do you want to be considered for compensation".

I can't recall which product i had this with, although the Sentinel name rings a bell.

What should i put as my reason.

I see the templates on the MSE site refer to either
"it covered them for up to £100,000 worth of unauthorised transactions that occurred after they informed AI that a card was lost of stolen."

    Or
"covered them for up to £5,000 worth of unauthorised transactions that occurred before they informed AI that a card was lost or stolen"

I cant remember what my reason was so what should i put in that section of the form?
  • We also have the same problem. We have received the same claim form but cannot remember which product it was for therefor do not know which template claim form to use .
    Can anyone advise?
  • I also received two payments, each around £250. The second was for a pre 2005 policy with Lloyds TSB, dated back to 1994, which in common with other forumites I hadn't claimed for! An excellent earlier Xmas gift so many thanks MSE
  • I received a cheque for around £80 in October and yesterday I received another from Halifax for an extra £185 for the period prior to Jan 2005. I say go for it!
  • PS I didn't know which option to fill in so I went with the one which gave compensation for monies lost BEFORE the card was reported stolen as it seemed the more sensible option. After all, common sense says that once you've reported a card lost or stolen the balls in the issuers court.

Sorry to bump up an old post, but I'm happy to report that having finally posted in our claim just before Christmas, we have today received a cheque for £250 odd :j

Other than filling in the claim as per the MSE template :money:no further questions asked.
