In my experience the BPA are happy for operators to do the latter.

You are correct, as I said further up the thread,

There's no POPLA code as it's not a rejection of my appeal I guess?

Think so isn't sufficient. Did you leave site? If not, then ticket should not have been issued and your appeal would be based primarily on that fact with the technical points being the ancillary ones.
