thats 9p and now were at a 600g meal with 800+ calories, 5 portions of veg and it cost 77.

That calorie count is incorrect. Using 15 calories for 50g pepper, from Google, plus the counts quoted by Tesco, I make it 525 calories.

Who just bins perfectly good clothes? If I have clothes I no longer like or do not fit into I take them to the charity shop, always have done even as a teenager.

If I can't re-purpose/upcycle my clothes they go to the charity shop. Love that Hugh's favourite trousers are 10 years old. My favourite jeans are 20 years old but have to confess I did buy two pairs!

Morrison's selling wonky veg as "ugly veg" and charging the same price for them, of course they will sell less if you market them as ugly and charge the same for them

Need the link if anybody has it to sign up to Hugh's Wastenot website supermarket campaign - tried to find it but cannot just yet!

Will come back tomorrow, but tonights show was really bad and finally at last Morrisons did speak, only after much pressue!

Just watched it. Criminal the amount of food wasted. Good to see the likes of Waitrose getting together with the skip raiders instead of prosecuting them.

Supermarket waste is obscene. A few years ago I was in our local Tesco. I picked up a bag of apples and it said on the label '7 apples' but there were only 6. I mentioned to a manager nearby that the label was wrong. He immediately got a couple of employees to empty out the whole consignment of the apples. I asked what they were doing with them, and was told they were being thrown away!
