100g - 11p 1 of 5 a day.
and we're at 5 of your 5 a day, 450g of food, for 68p.
add 150g of potates

thats 9p and now were at a 600g meal with 800+ calories, 5 portions of veg and it cost 77.
That calorie count is incorrect. Using 15 calories for 50g pepper, from Google, plus the counts quoted by Tesco, I make it 525 calories.0 -
I really could weep seeing all the perfectly good food being binned by the supermarkets as shown on tonight's programme.0

Who just bins perfectly good clothes? If I have clothes I no longer like or do not fit into I take them to the charity shop, always have done even as a teenager.0

Morrison's selling wonky veg as "ugly veg" and charging the same price for them, of course they will sell less if you market them as ugly and charge the same for them0

Just watched it. Criminal the amount of food wasted. Good to see the likes of Waitrose getting together with the skip raiders instead of prosecuting them.0

The links are on this website, but I've tried and it's struggling to load them. Possibly heavy traffic because of the programme.
ETA - Don't go via the link I've posted as it just goes straight back the BBC. This link works0 -
Supermarket waste is obscene. A few years ago I was in our local Tesco. I picked up a bag of apples and it said on the label '7 apples' but there were only 6. I mentioned to a manager nearby that the label was wrong. He immediately got a couple of employees to empty out the whole consignment of the apples. I asked what they were doing with them, and was told they were being thrown away!0
