Hi All
We are up, fed and suited & booted, we'll be setting off soon. It's a horrendous journey & takes an hour & a half to 2 hours, I'm not used to driving so long so often, but I'm getting used to it.
One of the BIL's is a grade A Hole, the other one, along with my hubby is just trying to protect FIL, the BIL with POA is trying to throw FIL out of the marital home. Jeez, it's like something out of Jeremy Kyle.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh Hester, I wish you luck today, it sounds as though you need it.
BIL with POA surely he isn't doing that to his own father, It sounds to me as though you definitely married the right brother
Thinking of you

Morning all.
Hubby back at work today and I've got my work cut out with the dog hairs. Shan't be breaking my neck to do it though...one room at a time.
My kids are unusually quiet. No messages or anything. I keep checking Whatsapp to see if they are still with me...Paranoid or what?
Onwards and forwards,
Have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all, get well wishes to those folks who are poorly, strength to those with much on their plates.
Day was drizzly and dark when we took the girls out first thing, it is now hammering down and set to stay that way most of the day so will be looking for jobs round the house to keep me busy.
Had to drop my car off at the garage in the village for 8am, when I lifted the bonnet on Saturday to fill up screen wash there was evidence of mouse chewing , my DOH had same problem a while back and when they got it up in ramp they had gone right through some wires
Also think my battery might be on the way out so they will check that too, they are good chaps, don't take the mickey price wise so get our business every year.
HH - they always say that come a crisis folks show their true colours, sorry that your BIL's are behaving in such a bad way.0 -
Good morning everyone. It has been raining all night here and it still raining heavily. It has been a busy week here with the twins being off for half term. I have busy decluttering the house and my porch is full of boxes of books and dvd's and bin bags full of clothes. I had intended to get them dealt with today but unless it stops raining that will have to wait.
I think I may just spend the rest of the morning sorting out the rest of my wardrobe and see if I can get rid of more clutter.
My thoughts are with you HH it is not easy dealing with family conflict
Glad to hear the news Hillstep.
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
I was going to town today, but is wet and miserable out there, so I will concentrate on getting downstairs spick and span.
Hilly that is really good news, I am so pleased for you x
Hester you BIL's are total T*sspots!!!!!
There was something in the news today that has very similar overtones

I am so pleased for you and hope things continue on an even keel.
Hester
You deserve a medal for not hitting BIL with a rolling pin!!!
I have two loads of washing on the lines outside and it is now chucking it down with rain  I have decided I am not going outside in it and will re wash it later. I have just ordered that D***ol antibac wash and have washed a load of laundry using it. I bought another bottle for DD to try as her cat sometimes gets sick and it might help.
Cleaner is due so have loaded dishwasher and cleared up a little. I had a yoghurt for a late breakfast but don't want to cook till later.
Towels and bedding need to be put away and new bedding looked out so will do that now.
I really enjoyed the Bond film yesterday and managed to stick to healthy eating. First time my cinema treats have been sparkling water and banana

Afternoon (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) if you need one.
We drove to Aldi this morning in pouring rain, it was raining so hard it was bouncing up from the road.
Shopping done, just a couple of odd bits needed from Lidl. I like their cumberland sausage better than Aldi's.
OH has gone to bed, the second day he has fallen alseep in the chair, so I sent him to lie down, he will sleep for an hour or so and then get up. I really need to get him sorted with something to do during the winter otherwise he is going to be unbearable.
I started an Aran feather stitch blanket last week, I have undone it twice, hopefully this time its going to go ok, fingers crossed. Mac cheese, jacket spud and baked tomato for supper. Might have banana for dessert.
HH is sounds as though your husbands brothers need their heads banging together, how could they be so crass when their mother is dying, words fail me.0 -
Afternoon all,
Luckily the rain had stopped here by nine. The Opticians had phoned yesterday to say my glasses were in, so got there for nine before they get busy to pick them up. I was so worried, it felt like going to the dentist! It's my first pair of 'wear all the time glasses'. I wore them to look round the shops. It was easier to read the labels without changing glasses but by heck is there a lot of other distortion going on!! I can't manage the computer with them yet and don't think I'll be driving in them for a while.
Going to do the baked crust cod for dinner tonight.0
