  • The pipe is flat against the wood so can't go back any further is that correct ?
So how did you get the pipe out of the back of the pan did you remove the pan ?
If not then the flush pipe going into the pan isn't long enough
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

In the past I've found that the quality of the bung made a difference - the one supplied was had fairly rigid plastic fins, I had to search for and replace with one which was more like silicone type rubber - and this cured the issue.

Yes, i removed the pan and did everything i could think of including a new flush cone. It still leaks and is obviously a design fault as i've spoken to a few plumbers and they all had similar problems at some point with certain toilets.

I was told to try some plumbers gold silicone on it, so that will be my next move. If that doesn't work, then i will probably take a big hammer to it all.

The plastic cones can be a pain. I prefer the rubber ones. They are tighter and a bit more hassle to fit but I've never had one fail yet.

When you say it's slack do you mean slack between the flush pipe and the cone or between the cone and the pan? If it's between the pipe and the cone the pipe may not be seated right. Rubber cones should be tight and take more effort to fit.

Where was the WC bought from? Could be a poor moulding on the pan?
