Best multi-use 4x4 to buy?
Hey guys,
We have been lucky enough to finally offered a cottage on the Lord's estate... Great, only downside is the track up to it, isn't great... it will be sorted but never to tarmac standard.
We also run a small business, attending events across the country (about 2 a month), and have certainly reached capacity in our little kia rio, to the extent it will be dangerous soon.
We also have 6 dogs, so with all the above a decent 4x4 which can be used for everything would be ideal. I've checked and our car (kia rio 2, 2014) is worth 6,600 - £8,500, so we have set a budget of the £8,500 and will top up as necessary.
So, here's the thing... what do we get? we've had 4x4s before, but only as a 2nd runaround, for dogs etc, and always old and gas guzzlers. I know there's much better come out in the last 10 years.. so suggestions please for most economical and reliable.
PS I am aware, it won;t beat my 1.4l for economy - but we need to change it....
THANK YOU

Thanks guys - think a Range Rover would be too thirsty - would get a land rover if they weren't such guzzlers. Looked at the L200 but heard bad things - definitely want a twin cab pickup with hardback from looking at what's on offer... I think...0
