O2 £50 Top Up - August Bonus

I have just got a Text from O2, telling me of the special offer that they are running until the end of August.

Top up £50 in one transaction, and O2 will credit you with an extra £5.00!

And thats on top off the 10% bonus O2 give every 3 months! So in the end you top up £50, but get £60!:T

It turns out both of us are wrong yet correct at the same time!

Customers will automatically get £5 free calltime if they top-up a required qualifying amount in a single transaction via cash machine top-up or via a pre-activated E Top-up card during the Promotional Period. The required qualifying amount depends on typical customer spend during the period 10th July to 31st July, 1st October to 19th November 2006, 16th December 2006 to 31st Jan 2007, 1st March 2007 to 30th April 2007 and June 1st to July 15th (“the Pre-Qualification Period”). If during the Pre-Qualification Period:

• Your highest spend on a single top-up was up to £19… you need to top-up with £20 or more in one go during the Promotional Period
• Your highest spend on a single top-up was between £20 and £29… you need to top-up £30 or more in one go during the Promotional Period
• Your highest spend on a single top-up was between £30 and £50 you need to top up £50 in one go during the Promotional Period,

So, because I have been spending more on my mobile, I have to top up more to get the free credit! Bummer!
