trying to find a paint colour to paint an old bike I have
much as I know computer screens can show different colours , I wondered if the many 1000s of MSE forum members could suggest a colour from a recent or modern car
the paint is NON metallic
if you can suggest a colour , I will match it at my local "halfrauds" then go and get it mixed at my local paint factors

Is that actually a TS125? (I thought ER was a Kawasaki model reference).

no the bike is a Suzuki ts 185er , and is still in production to this day!!! (not smogged clad west tho)
http://www.globalsuzuki.com/motorcycle/moto/dual_purpose/ts185er/99999-A1306-151.pdf
er was the model with the square sectioned swinging arm and the plastic panels
they were sold in Australia as late as 2009 , as my replacement tank came from a 2002 model in new Zealand
they stopped UK sales in about 19860 -
and another

the er designation was followed by another letter that denoted the year eg: erx , ert etc0 -
edit : they made a series of TS bikes , 80cc , 100cc 125cc 185cc 250cc and I think a 400cc
the one in the photo above is actually a 125 model , mine is the more popular 185 ,
they are essensially the same frame/colours/panels on the ts125 er(?) as the ts185 er(?)
this is mine , as lifted out of a skip 4 yrs ago

rs paints get confused , only listing a 181 model , and that's in red , the bike was not available in red to my knowledge (in the UK)0

Take a piece off that is the correct colour, give it a light T-cut, and take it to the paint factors, they will mix you up a rattle can or a canful, nowadays they have optical matching equipment.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

thanks , that list only goes to the mid 70s , I think the original blue was not a std Suzuki road bike colour , remember this is a bike that was made for Europe , and auzzie , the USA never got this bike , they had the much earlier ts185 with chrome mudguards
it would be easier to use a normal (uk) car colour to ease matching at a later date
Is the paint code anywhere on the bike?
paint code ? there isn't even a vin plate on the thing its that old! , just a chassis number stamped on0 -

my bike as per the photo above is in white , yes they can match the white , but there again so can I ,it appliance white (fridge colour) from B+Q
I want to do the bike Blue ,0 -
The blue on that 125 looks similar to Triumph Teal Blue as seen on spitfires and stags and dolomites in the 70s
