Still a bit confused as to what help you actually want here. If you are pming a BG or 2 why would it help if anybody else does the same thing?
Wouldn't suggesting to super keen new guy that the sub board needs a new name it make it clearer what should be there?Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Or to get rid of it altogether, make the dailies and mags thread as stickies on the main board and the individual weekly threads gets posted each week on main ...?0 -
Or just clear the sub forum out - have a few posts for the dailies, mags, weeklies, click to win ... etc
then remove the NEW THREAD buttonYes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A0 -

Individual weekly comps are (should be) posted on main, although people also post links on the weekly thread the index has not been updated since last year.
I'd change the title to
"Regulars and ALL NEW competitions - read the guide before posting"
The guide would tell them where to correctly post a competition but this would help to keep the dross/incorrectly titled/self promotion and spam off the main board and so not bother well over 90% of forum users.0 -
But wouldn't 'all new" mean all new comps should be posted there? It seems an even more confusing name0

That's the idea to catch out random posters who have not read the guide as it's usually rubbish - as perThe guide would tell them where to correctly post a competition but this would help to keep the dross/incorrectly titled/self promotion and spam off the main board and so not bother well over 90% of forum users

Should be posted individually each week on main......
basically with weekly comps it is a bit 'up in the air' if it's on the main board it should be a new thread for each comp/week, if you want an ongoing thread you update each week then it is in the regular board
but I agree they should probably all be the same so all on the main board and a new thread for each draw
ETA: yes it seems that people would like them all posted new each week so there wouldn't be a need for the weekly thread

I am coming round to the idea of just renaming the Regular Comp sub board. My preferred option would be "Newbies post comps here" then regular compers could check them for self promotion etc and repost the legit ones on the main board in the correct format. Thus saving time all round.
