Sorry I know this is an old thread but wondered if any of you had had to use Start Rescue in Europe? Planning on going to France for a week in the summer and they have come back with the cheapest breakdown cover with Europe cover by a lot - I'm suspicious :(

They'll just call out a local breakdown agent. Thats what they've done for me here in the UK the couple of times i've needed them.

I have my cover through my Hastings insurance and the same thing happens here with that. My insurance is due for renewal in May so was considering cutting the breakdown cover if it's European cover was too much and taking out a whole separate one and this was a lot cheaper. Just weighing up options at the minute, thanks

Have to say I have just switched to them as well, havent tried them yet though. Paid a bit extra for the nationwide cover - where they will bring the car back home (or to a designated destination) if it can't be fixed that day. Still havent got anything in the post from them though, so beginning to think that I only get online documentation from them rather than a pack. (not that thats a problem)
