Well done dancemum on Fleabay sales.
I have checked and re-packed two out of three boxes and translated a very longwinded application form for my German artist friend to display some of her work at our cathedral at the end of next year or early in 2017- glad to have finished that.
Food, change, and out we go...0 -

Planning to catch up as best I can and to scrub and steam my hallway today - dogs sleep in there and it is a bit smelly where they have got wet...
Samhain Blessings everyone.
I've been making nut loaf cos there's none left in the freezer, and Yule puds cos it's a "traditional" Samhain activity in the Wolves' Lair.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I can't describe how much that made me laugh!
Still feeling rubbish, my nose is running like the proverbial tap and i'm coughing like I smoke 40 a day. My clothes are laid out for the morning and i shared my germs at the hairdressers having a trim today. Im praying they will see the state of me and send me home. Either that or assign me the rudolph position in the soon to be christmas grotto!
The ironing pile has been conquered. I bravely took on DS1's washing, he was surprisingly grateful. Small victory, i can ask him to colldct DD2 from school when i'm at work now.0 -

Happy halloween.
Just got the kids to bed  naughty mummy they've been to the pub!to be fair it was actually a kids party and only families in there.
DS managed just fine. He's still not himself but improving I think. He's supposed to be out at a train festival tomorrow with gramps !
House is in CHAOS so tomorrow is an organising and cleaning day, to put us back to some semblance of normality. Which might actually be the chaos, now I think about it :rotfl:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Nicki great pic, I was wondering what your window looked like. You are very talented.
Pigpen I love those ears!
Mumto5 good luck for tomorrow - in case I forget. Hope the cold eases off a bit and everything goes well on your first day. Let us know how you get on.
Off to bed in a minute. DS and OH are off fishing first thing tomorrow, DS2 is at a sleepover so it would be a good time to get the LR carpet washed, then all the carpets have been done except the landing and stairs which really isnt worth cleaning.
Night all x0 -
ionafan- thanks for the explanation about secret Santa! It sounds fun! Will email you tomorrow!
Nicki- that window is fab! You are very artistic!
We had a Halloween party tonight that started at 4pm.the kids were age 2 -7. I made some funky Halloween food and everyone was gushing about the effort I had put in! Really pleased it was noted. Halloween pizzas, a pumpkin with fruit kebab hair and graveyard puddings! Hubby thought I was mad going to so much effort but kids had a great time! Then out trick or treating for an hour. Tidied up most of the mess tonight but I must confess I left a little for the morning! I am starting to get really hacked off about not having a dishwasher!
House was all tidied for the party but a bit of clearing up needed tomorrow! And got to tackle the dreaded homework! Which we always seem to leave until Sunday! Oops!
Night all, will try and get on tomorrow xGrocery challenge-

Hope littlemoo feels better soon.
Just about kept up with basics this week, and about as fed up of trying to catch up with reports as you must be about reading about it, so I won't say it.
Have managed to do 2 classes at the gym this week.
Barely managed any mindfulness course, although I have been thinking about it (the being mindful and the course)
Did church flowers this morning and hoovered round church.
Did loads of serious pruning in garden, can't believe it has all grown so much.
Gradually organising diary for a few events and getting my head round what is happening in the next couple of months. The Big Give (where you donate to a charity and kind businesses and sponsors double it) is the first weekend in Dec this year, I think when I'm away for a long weekend so I'll miss it which is a shame. As a family, we mainly give a relevant charity donation rather than presents, so it's nice to think it is being doubled.
Keep refilling bird feeders as they are pretty busy now - mainly blue and great tits, green and gold finches, sparrows, starlings and collared doves; the occasional coal tits and even more occasionally the woodpecker.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning all
Frizzle the party sounds fun, I too used to make a big effort on Halloween. DS1 and his GF came over to do it all here this year with DS3. They had heaps of fun and the DS3 said to me I'm sorry but that was my best Halloween ever and you didn't organise it! He spent the whole timesat in the tree in our garden hanging out and scaring people. DS1 has burnt his foot with boiling water, hope he will be ok as it was quite blistered on one toe.
I will need to get DS3 to help with clearing the garden up this morning.
Plan to eat more frogs, clean the bathroom and Narco I will get my reports done if you will too - sick of mine hanging around. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
