I have an S Note 3 and I don’t use much internet, my father has an old 2G nokia phone.

My father wants to buy a small tablet where he can watch some YouTube videos, FB and make some calls.

I was thinking of three sim card where for £20 top-up can get unlimited data and some calls, as we don’t have BB.

Is there any small tablet that will work on the three simcard?

You would need a data sim to use in a tablet. Three don't allow their 3-2-1 PAYG sims to work in tablets, even with an add-on.

You would have to consider a 5.5" phablet (and hope he finds it big enough) or something like the Nexus 6, which is slightly bigger..

What you can do is to get a MiFi and use it in conjunction with a data SIM. That way his Tablet does not need to be mobile Internet capable, as it would connect to the MiFi via WiFi.
MiFi from £20. You can use it in conjunction with certain SIM that are being given away with large data allowances for £10 for the next few months.

Few days back I saw a stranger talking to someone on his tablet, when he finished talking he was watching a video.

So I asked him nicely what network was he on and does he get unlimited internet.

He showed me that he was using three unlimited data; he also said its £20 top up every month.

And He also said he gets some free min and text on the bundle and he makes calls by using his earphones.

But I forgot to ask him what tablet he was using, I saw that it was Samsung but I don’t know what model.

does anyone know what tablet that im talking about?

Tablets which can make calls tend to be much more expensive. Does he absolutely have to use the tablet for calls, and is it impossible for him to get wifi at home? It might be more cost-effective to sign up for home broadband for use with a tablet, and stick with his old phone (or get a cheap smartphone) for calls.

My father and i don’t spend much time in the house as we always have something to do, so BB will be just waste of money, also I don’t want to pay for TV licence.

I saw the Samsung Tab 4 online for around £90 and in Argos for£120, for next few months I will try this EE charismas sim and i will get 4 months out of it,after that will just use 3 all you can eat Data.

    Is this a good idea?

I hate to burst your bubble...

The Tab 4 does not have mobile broadband capability at the price you mention.. Refer to post #3.

Otherwise, the model numbers you require are SM-T235 or SM-T535.

Typical price of SM-T235 around £190

If your budget can't stretch to the Samsung, choices are as above in post #5 or the like of the Asus Fonepad 7 FE171CG
    Refurbished example for £74.99
Can't imagine that it's much good.
