    Hi rog2

Im off to Aldi tonight :D ...i have tried a couple of other supermarkets here but have decided that its back to Aldi/Lidl for me;) ... some things here are so cheap... i mean i got a 10 kilo box of washpowder for approx £7 and it will last for ages, but at the moment veg is quite expensive and we eat loads... i may go to one of the bigger supermarkets every couple of months for the bits n pieces i cant get elsewhere....cream cheese with horseraddish mmmmm

At the moment its not a "need" to do the 80euro challenge, but it will help me keep a tight hold on things...i really hate spending money right now...how things change :rotfl:

Oooh that's lovely, got some in Tesco in Prague (I think) when on holiday, yum!! Took me ages to work out what flavour it was though, as the picture on the tub looked like a parsnip... *wonders why she bought something which appeared to be parsnip-flavoured cheese  *

Next to nothing 'portable' in the food line at home today so I've spent about £4 on bits and pieces to eat at work. Plus £2 in bus fares, and will be doing big payday grocery shop later. £40 weekly budget isn't looking too healthy for night out tomorrow, will try not to go too far over though, may be good and stick to mostly soft drinks :A

Have a good day all x

Although I am not getting into debt again I have noticed I am spending an awful lot more than I used to.

Oh how I know the feeling!!!

Ok here goes with me trying to be good again. Moozie I totally lost control without your naughty step!

So far today I spent £2 on glamour magazine but thats all martins fault! and £1.30 on the bus. At the very least I'll be another £1.30 for the journey home (cheaper than a return!) but I may pick up the thing I saw for my hols (18 days to go!) so that's £12. Will let you know!

    Hi lynsay,

I find it's tough to rationalise not spending a £1 here and there when not in debt, at the height of my money saving I threw £400 a month towards my debt. Now I save £250. God knows where the other £150 goes.....

I think I need to attack the savings in the same way as I did my debt busting...

I find it's the lack of guilt thats a problem. When I was in debt spending any money felt bad as it could have had a better use. Now if I don't need it for bills there is no guilt about spending it! But I now plan on getting my driving license and central heating and go on holiday every year so I really could do with the savings thing! I get paid from both my jobs (old and new) on friday so I'll have some savings to put in this weekend. The new job pays weekly though so there'll have to be a review of the (non existent at the moment) budget!
