Some further clarification on the 'goings on' in Portugal:
It's the way the debate will be going I'm afraid. Obfuscation and plain lies by the 'out' camp, willingly lapped up by the more gullible among us who can't even distinguish between factual reporting and editorial comment.Graham_Devon wrote: »The relevance of such a statement, in the context it's set in is absolutely HUGE.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

. I once went to Westward Ho! just because it has an exclamation mark in its name.
I've just been there - it's a dump.
I thought the exclamation mark sounded romantic, added to the stirring novel of the name by Charles Kingsley and it's setting for Kipling's Stalky & Co, but alas, no.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It didn't help matters that it was raining when I went there. The English seaside is never improved by the rain IME. And we couldn't find a pub which was very saddening.
Dump is a bit strong though. It's not up north or anything.0 -

Just reading about what's happening in Portugal and wondering what implications it could have on the EU and the UK
We are living in interesting times
Anyone got any opinions ?Mistermeaner wrote: »You could add the word 'no' after the question mark as well maybe?
To be honest that one's a deff no as it closes debate and this is a debate page ... if I added no I would need to add yes :-)0
