Look out for the Medion tablets sold by Aldi. Bought one last year and it is very good for the money.

Nearly bought one a few months ago but was put off by the reviews that all said the touch screen wasn't sensitive enough. Is it a problem for you? I bought the Hudl2 instead and have been happy with it - even after the Marshmallow update.
  • I also bought a Hudl 2, and am very impressed with it.

Stripped out all the Tesco Bloatware, installed a better launcher, and got myself a Micro HDMI cable, so I can connect it to my HD TV.

Also put in a 64GB Micro SD Card, giving me just under 80GB on storage.

Hope no one minds me updating this.

I came across a Lenovo 7 inch which tempted me, then a few days later in a pre Black Friday deal Argos had the Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50 for £80.

Bought it (with free Fast Track delivery) and I've not regretted it. Android apps are not only more plentiful than Amazon app store, but the Android versions tend to be superior.

The only thing I've not done is update to the latest Android after reading mass bad feedback on the Lenovo forums.

Music Magpie paid me £30 for my old tablet too.
  • Tesco are now selling the Connect 8" tablet, for the same price (£99), as they were selling the Hudl 2.

It has an intel processor, but only 1 GB of RAM, compared to the Hudl 2's 2 GB. Also, the cameras are lower resolution than the Hudl 2.

It does have a slot for a Micro SD card, and a Micro-HDMI socket.

    Comes with Windows 10.

Having both (I got the Connect tablet for £69, when it was on offer over Christmas), and having compared them, I have to say, even with the Intel processor and Windows 10, if I had to choose only one to keep, I'd choose the Hudl 2.
