    Morning all,

felt as though i'd gone backwards in my health last night. Breathing easy fair enough but still coughing my guts up. Ive got bruises over my body where ive burst blood vessels. I checked them out with the doctor and she agreed it was from the coughing. Big purple splotches on my legs and body. The one on my leg looks like ive been kicked by a horse.:D I'll see how i go the weekend. If i feel no better, back down the Drs i'll go.

Fortunately not much needs doing in the house. Theres only me and the two dogs in it so i dont have to do much today. Just need to pop out to the local shop to get a couple of bits but not much else planned.

Ive just had a warm steamy bath.... I think i'm good to go now.

Redruby... i hope your headache eases soon. Many hugs.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Good Morning all, another week has vanished into the ether, where does the time fly to I wonder. It seem to go quicker the older I get :):)
I didn't have a great night as I stupidly ate a piece of fruit cake around 9 with a cuppa and had dreadful heartburn all night which I kept waking up with so I feel a bit washed out today.Good job its the weekend coming up at least. This afternoon I have history club and we are studying the Plantagenet family so that should be interesting I am hoping for a little catch-up snooze before I go there after lunch.
The weather is looking decidedly grey and overcast, I am glad I got all my washing dry yesterday I will iron it tonight so its out of the way before the weekend .
My eldest Dd is off to Las vegas tomorrow as her friend is getting married out there, hope she brings some sunshine home with her :):):)
Youngest DD has all of next week off so we will be flitting around with the three boys I expect The youngest one wants to go back to Eltham Palace (we went last year at this time ) They do a great pumpkin carving afternoon there with the children. We are also booked up for a tour of the BBC Oxford Street studios on Wednesday so we are all looking forward to that. DD got her promotion and a reasonable rise this week, so she is feeling chuffed that she had booked a week off to be with the boys at half term we will be celebrating I think
Right time for some caffeine I think
have a great day everyone what ever you are doing
    Cheers chums JackieO xxx
  • Morning all,

Done the usual stuff this morning. Booked me and DH on a Diabetes course which starts in January. He didn't want to go but I persuaded him because I like to understand exactly what is going on and what to do about it especially as I do 95% of the cooking.

Thought I'd go for a walk; popped into the Drs to book a healthcheck and get a blood test form, then thought I'd take a book back to the library. I usually check the opening times before I go - I forgot and it is only open this afternoon!

Last day of term today - so looking forward to half term :)

Hello all, back from one job, now paperwork to do this afternoon.
Some washing out, some in the machine, yeast doing what it does so that I can make a pizza base, must check it before it goes floofy.
Judi forgive the intrusion but I do wonder if you might perhaps see the doc again, that does not sound very nice for you.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Had a really lazy morning and had a phone call from middle dd who is not coming round tonight but offered a quick shopping trip tomorrow morning for me and older dd. She is catching a flight in the early hours of Sunday for work so I reminded her about the clocks going back at 2 a.m. meaning she needs to be there an hour earlier than she thought.

Other older dd (twins) will come round tonight with son in law for a quick meal before leaving their cat with me as they are off to a wedding this weekend. I have found a nice looking pork and cider casserole that I fancy making so will pop out to get ingredients later.

It is starting to look a bit dull and dark so may need to put laundry indoors to dry. Nights are getting darker already so next week will be even more of a change.

I agree with AOD about contacting gp if things do not improve soon.

    Hugs to all

  • Good Afternoon everyone, grey day here but not too cold, just chilly round the edges and not raining. We'd planned a trip to the Swedish shop today but the bus didn't turn up and He Who Knows got a text as we stood at the bus stop to say a delivery was due to the house today so he went home and I waited for the next bus. We are looking for new mattresses to go on our continental super king sized bed (we bought the frame in Germany years ago when we lived there)as the mattresses we have are in need of replacement, they are extra long and having looked everywhere that does English furniture unsuccessfully we no find that dear old Ikea do the size we want!!! We'll go together so he can do the firmness test and choose the one he wants as I know which will suit me. Home and had lunch now as I didn't want to waste cash eating out so had the rest of some mushroom soup I made a couple of days ago and cheese rolls each, warming and very nice.

Nothing needed to be done this afternoon so I think I might take myself off for a walk later on and breathe in some fresh air after the city this morning.

Have yourselves a nice day, Lyn xxx.

I thought the clocks went back an hour, meaning she would need to be there an hour later? Spring forward, fall back? I may be confused though, just know how horrible a 2 hour wait in an airport is!

Judi I know we can't give medical advise but I had big purple bruise like things on my legs and shoulders, I was told by the first doctor they were a reaction to the anti biotic. However, I wasn't getting any better, feeling really poorly and when I went back and saw a different doctor he said they were as a result of my body fighting a severe infection and gave me a new antibiotic.
I cannot remember what he called it, please take care x
