As an aside, it's interesting to observe that it's been a while since the 25% creamed off by Surge Financial was mentioned. All this talk of others helping themselves to cash and the massive red-herring of Global Security Trustees Limited is rather distracting, isn't it?
Amazing what PR support can be bought for circa % of £58m and being backed up by lawyers of others who may or may not be involved who hold substantially more from said business operation... maybe.0 -

I'm still lost, but it doesn't matter. I just wonder whether you have considered that you might end up on the wrong end of a suit for defamation? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Surge own Crucial Academy Ltd, which has an MP as a non-executive director. Could be they got him onboard to lend the whole thing an air of respectability?0

There might be a scandal there somewhere, but there's nothing scandalous in the DM report. An MP has a well-paid job on the side. Well, yes, lots of them do. The firm he works for is bona fide, as far as I know. So, why is this a problem?
The report might as well say that the MP is connected to Capt Careless because they both shop at Tesco! There might be some much to dig up, but so far the DM has failed to find it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Sure, like another MP / Councillor previously being on the board of an oil company involved in this where two of the allegedly arrested persons are also directors and tens of millions of pounds were received by that company from LCF? Hypothetically speaking of course...0 -

So, is your point that anybody who ever worked for any of the LCF or Surge directors is responsible for the losses suffered by LCF investors? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Ahoy-hoy from a long time lurker, first time poster.
I thought I should sign up to say thank-you to the wise heads who post on these threads. Your words have undoubtedly saved a lot of people a lot of money - not to mention stress, heartache, etc. The people who actually take on board what you say, that is.
When I see an advertisement for an investment "opportunity" which looks too tempting then I invariably check this forum to see if my suspicions are justified. They usually are. I suspect many others do the same but never bother to say thanks. So thank-you.If in doubt... do nowt.0 -

Because he's in receipt of £85,000 a year that came from a Ponzi scam.
Unless it can be shown that Crucial Academy Limited has sufficient revenue from sources other than the commission paid by London Capital & Finance to its sister company to pay £85,000 a year to a dodgy MP along with all its other running costs.0
