Hi there

I have just been to the Oriental Diner on Broad Street in Barry. What a wonderful meal we had and great service too!

They do an all you can eat buffet lunchtime 12pm-5pm £5.50 (adult) £3.00 (children) and evening 5.30pm - 11.00 pm (11.30 fri and sat) £10.80 (adult) and £5.80 (child) (Fri & sat £11.80 - adult and £6.80 child).

We ate for 1.5 hrs and had loads and only cost us £30!

Good food great surroundings and absolutely superb service in all a good value meal (and it was busy!) - and no this is not SPAM!

I went to the same place, on the 22nd to calm down with my mates before results. As the OP said, very nice meal and the service was brilliant.

i go to one near hanger lane, its brillant. £5.50 for adults and £3.00 for kids. incudes soups and pudiing. sometimes go there for sunday dinner. cheaper than buying all the food sometimes. the drinks add the price up

Here's what i can remember from the buffet

Beef in Ginger; Beef in Chilli, S&S chicken, Singapore Noodles, Duck, pancakes plum sauce and thinly cut veg, avegetable medley to stuff lettuce leaves, chicken satay, chicken curry, egg fried rice, king prawns, mussels in sauce, special fried rice, bbq sauce, plain chow mein, s&s sauce, curry sauce, chips, loads of fruit, ice cream

Hope that helps! (I am feeling soooo hungry again :rotfl: )

Thanks for this. I'll add it to my list of "Must Do"s

I've only been to a chinese all you can eat once before - and they had 2-3 main meals and 2-3 accompaniments.... so I wasn't overly impressed.

Looks like they had a good range there to choose from.

I can certainly see 9 things on the list there I'd like - AND - there was afters! mmmmm

the spice root ( or route) at the red dragon centre is on that same principle. but very much buffet style and some food like noodles cooked in front of you.

although is not as cheap as the ones already posted i believe that the menu is cheaper in early- mid week and at lunch?

    Would recomend highly

    regards
