Pardon my asking, but wasn't Waitrose satisfactory?
I was thinking of changing from Orange to Waitrose on hearsay that they have good customer services.
Can you please advise. Many thanks.

I did think long and hard before making the decision to switch but it's down to cost. I have had my telephone service (including the actual line) from TalkTalk for over a year now . They "inherited" me from British Gas/OneTel and I have had no trouble at all either with the actual service or the billing. I live close to the telephone exchange and enjoy broadband speeds of over 7 Mbps . So I decided to switch. The offer does come with a 30 day trial period so if I'm not satisfied I can always go back to Waitrose. This should save me about £130 a year.

Much appreciated. Now Waitrose Broadband is owned by BT. Very reassuring to know that whichever corner one turns, there is a Mega Corp waiting.
    What is Ofcom there for?!

Where did you hear that Waitrose is now owned by BT? I thought the service was operated by Brightview Internet Services on behalf of Waitrose.

Re my post #12 about changing from Waitrose to TalkTalk. I have now had the new service for about six weeks and everything is OK . The installation of the new modem went without any hitches, the speed seems to be slightly quicker than with Waitrose, and I have never lost connection.

The only problem was surprisingly caused by Waitrose. I rang them at the end of August to cancel my broadband account and convert it to "Justmail". I was promised this would happen on September 25. I have just rang them again to ask if everything went through OK, only to be told that there is no record of this call and I was still paying for broadband. They have now rectified this lapse and I am now on "Justmail".
