...except the final sentence in his suggested response should read 'I will escalate to the CSA'.

They had a representative from JLA on Radio Merseyside today, and the first question he was asked was about parking. He said they knew it had brought problems in the past but the signs had now been improved. What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Are you sure you heared him correctly, the free drop off is limited to 20 minutes, go over and its then £5.00 for 40 minutes. I think its scandalous to charge to be dropped off at the door, never mind a car park 10 minutes walk away.
JLA have recently updated their map of where to park -
https://www.liverpoolairport.com/parking/
The route to the 'charged for' parking areas are highlighted in white, yet the 'free' parking route is faded out.
It used to say that you could not return to the car park within either 2 or 4 hours, but I can't find this on the 'new' regulations.
Good news if you are a blue badge holder though, you get 30 mins free ! All you have to do is park up your car, drop off your love ones and complete pleasantries, make your way into the ground floor of the multi-story car park, then find the car park office, (not known if it is manned all the time) remember to take your entrance ticket and your blue badge with you. You will then be allowed to park for a whole 30 minutes from the time you entered the car park for free. Now, how long all that takes, especially if you are a slow walker is anyone's guess. Go over the 30 mins and costs will occur.
Scammers, the lot of them !!0 -
Actually when I went there recently again to drop someone off, there was no FREE drop off, there is a charge of £2 for the first 20 minutes and after that it rises pretty quick, so you can't physically get anywhere near the airport with your bags without paying!
Surely this is illegal?
There must be a right of way bylaw or something?0 -

I now tell friends and relatives that I will not drop off / pick at JLA
and suggest Manchester instead
I all so will not book flights from the 'friendly' JLA
