Wardrobe colour not as expected

I bought some wardrobes from Furniture village, they have just been delivered today. Im so dissapointed in the colour. I ordered lava, which looked grey in the shop as all my bedroom is grey, however they are more brown than grey!!! is there anything I can do to get them changed or do I have to live with them???

Online purchase or order placed in store?

You could potentially still reject the goods as not conforming to contract - you ordered grey and received brown. (What colour code is shown on the packaging?)

They didn't order grey, they ordered "lava", which could mean anything.

It reads as if bought in store.

It could be the lighting that makes the colour look different.

Looking at the website I think this is the issue, the doors have a gloss finish so are going to reflect differently according to the light source, and what they're placed next to.

OP, if purchased in store you're going to be reliant on a goodwill gesture. Let us know how you get on.

I have phoned the store and spoke to the bloke who we have been dealing with. When i told him the colour was wrong he got the sample and described it as a greyish colour, which I said thats what we thought but its not its brown. He's going to speak to his line manager to see if theres anything they can do as we have spent over £3000 there the last 2 months!!! I've asked him to come out and have a look, we'll see what happens.

I would definitely query the colour, and perhaps try taking a photo of the furniture next to something that is actually grey.

Do you have a link to the wardrobe? If I look on their website and click on wardrobes, it only indicates colour choices as: Browns, Creams, Golds, Beiges, Whites. No mention of any grey shades.

You might need to get a sample swatch from the store to make sure the colour is correct..

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

my whole bedroom is grey so it really stands out, worst comes to worst we will have to order new doors and pay for them!

There are 4 colours, black, white, sand grey and lava. I have to say that sand grey is a great deal more sand than it is grey, and to my eye your lava colour looks more brown than it does grey. We still don't know if you bought in store, despite the question being asked several times already, if you did then it could be the lighting that's made it look more grey.

When I look at the Welle Metro Hinged 3 Door Wardrobe on the Furniture Village website I see four door colours available: Black, Lava, Sand Grey and White.

    Is that the right wardrobe?
