wrong calculation

I was paid ppi in 2012 paid of the company now they are ringing to tell me I may be due more ppi due to wrong calculation my bank paid me the wrong calculation money in 2014 am I due to pay the ppi company it was the bank who sorted it out not them

    In most cases, the CMC will come after you for the difference and you would be expected to pay it.

    Remember that all a CMC does is put your complaint in an envelope. They dont do anything else. So, the redress you got and any future redress all stems from that envelope.

    If you ignore it, then its likely they will take you to court for payment.

    The CMC didnt approach the bank again. Most of the banks are reviewing past decisions in a number of areas and this is resulting in increased redress. The bank would have notified the CMC as your agent of the original complaint.

  • You may have a valid complaint that the CMC should have checked this in 2012, though.

  • hi I have checked with the bank the cmc have not been in touch with bank and they have not been in touch with them

  • they said if company get in touch I can put complaint in to ombudsman and they will look at it the. bank never got in touch with claims company at any time sent money direct to me I paid company their fees but not the wrong calculation payment did not know had to, thought the bank sorted that themselves think company is just cold calling on my mobile thanks for reply think I will wait and see what happens, if I have to pay I have to pay just annoying
  • thanks for reply think the company is cold calling on my mobile my bank has never ever spoken to them sent payments direct to me then I paid company their fees I may be jumping the gun as I said they are cold calling we have moved since so company only has our mobile number legal ombudsman said I can put complaint in if I am not happy about company think I will just wait, and see if company get in touch thank you for your comments and help cant see how they can find out about wrong calculation as my bank will not discuss my account to third parties.cheers
