Stay with Talk Talk or move to BT ?

We are currently with TT on the plus TV package and paying around £37 p/m (don't use the phone) and seems we can't get fibre broadband despite being in the city centre which seems crazy
Anyway contacted talk talk and they are just offering it at £27 p/m for 12 months on a 18 month contract (which I don't like, why not 12 months?)
Looked at bt and we can get a similar deal with their ''Essential + Unlimited Broadband + Weekend Calls'' package
The main thing putting me off that is it seems to want a £49 activation fee are they likely to waive that at all if we contact them
I can't see any reason not to otherwise, lose a couple of channels the only one I am bothered about being sky sports news, but I hear the youview box is better and pretty much everything else with BT ? talk talk are ok apart from if you do have a problem at all, the youview box is crap and laggy and they sneakily put the bills up every month seemingly :rotfl:
So are we better off going with BT ? I was considering sky or Virgin but seem a bit more expensive and I understand they would need to install new lines, sky dish or whatever etc so more hassle and more money
we just want decent internet and fairly basic Tv package.
any advice much appreciated
