TM, maybe if you work very, very hard they'll give you some time off for good behaviour :D

We have no Bombay potatoes left, thankfully. We did eat every last tin of them though. Five beans was just before I found the elite I think.

Strewth, bless you what a lot going on.

I had home ed. one of my children, but we had a planned return to education which worked out very well. But I have to admit he was in a good position to return to statutory education and I would not have blinked taking him out of school to home educate him again.

In relation to the difficulties DS2 has, can you apply for mobility? Given his asd and mobility issues, it is worth exploring this.

Also have you looked at benefit entitlement for the children and carers allowance for you?

    :)

Hi SSM :hello: sorry for the late reply, I like home edding but I can see the counsellors point about dd2 not having much opportunity to mix. We have taken her to home ed groups but parents stay so she just sits quietly by us looking uncomfortable. She may return to mainstream at some point but not yet, it will be home ed or the hospital school as we're not willing to sit back and watch her spiral downwards again. Never thought we would have this to deal with but deal with it we shall.

Ds2 gets dla and low rate mobility. He can walk but tires after 5 mins and has to sit down - on the floor if need be. Up til recently oh carried him around on his shoulders but he's 7 now and way too heavy. Physio says that one leg is slightly longer than the other  he has weakness in his core, hips and quads but no obvious reason for this. Might be able to apply for higher rate mobility but I never considered him disabled so getting dla in the first place was a shock. It was only a support worker nudging me to apply that convinced me to do it. I am now his full time carer, I was before though just under a different title....mum :rotfl:

Oh yes I was getting around to talking to you, you sent me on a wild goose chase with those postcodes today. :p

Right postcodes £1 in my Express.

Must be the north/south divide thing. :o

£1 in my express too, but on Saturday I popped down to my local extra and the Mars were 37p each :D Only got 10, would rather have had Snickers but they were gone.

    Evening peeps. :)

Made a bolognese tonight but put in too much garlic granuals!!
To the extent that it's burning my lips, I've only had a spoonful!!
Any ideas of how to lighten it a bit? :o

Could you put half into a fine sieve and pour boiling water on to rinse off some sauce??? Then mix it back in....

I've had to do this with pasta when little man didn't like the sauce.
  • Has anyone had any luck adding 2 codes on the thorntons site?
I've only managed one so far:(

    Tia :)

You could try adding another tin of tomatoes to water it down.

Have you applied for your daughter? You are likely to get it.

Strangely - I have one leg 2 cm longer than the other - it has only recently been discovered so has caused some long term problems in my hip/spine. It is too late to wear heightened shoes as it would cause more problems now, but they may help your son x

Add more liquid, water or tomatoes and simmer, cooking the bol longer will mellow the garlic, if adding more tomatoes do not forget to add a pinch of sugar, do not let the mince get dry that will only concentrate the taste hth
