an interesting bit of accountancy on my daily spends chart.

the amount I spend on newspapers yesterday I put in the Demon Drink column - £9.60 (24 newspapers altogether) - bog standard wine is at least a fiver a bottle now so to get 24 cidre for less than a tenner is excellent value.

the overage I got when I collected the cidre I took off the full price of the food shopping I've done over the last few days

Minus things with MOCs - I'venot included the free Activia creamies and I've only counted the barilla Pasta as 25p each - the pric after MOCs

I started 3 months ago keeping a daily spends diary so I had a better under standing of what I spend and where - its been an eye opener :D

Do most A's have this system in place now? In the store I've been using lately, APG's scan just like any other MOC, they don't need to scan the barcode at the bottom or on the receipt.

Its coming to all stores so you will have soon, as SA told me today

    v morries
    2x ASDA Grower's Selection White Potatoes (2.5KG) £3.38 £2.86

Regular price £1.43 each Morries, but is that A's expensive 2 for £3 mbuy pricing failing to show?:D

£3.00 minus 81p APG (or thereabouts) = £2.19, making them just over £1.09:eek: each. Cheaper than T Eday Value (after they rose in price a while back:() but having to buy two (you may be paying with wombles;)) and nowhere near as good as loss leader 49p comps. that I very much like.

£1 for 2.5Kg seems now v.expensive compared to having big 12.5Kg sacks of potatoes on £2 (which we hope will return in the future - I now want M to play ball on Monday there! Bet they won't:().
