Nice to see that people reported me for asking for scamps address so I could send him some food.. two faced people on here. anyway scamps I have something for you.

    That's a real shame :(

OK, so some people don't agree with you on a lot of things - but how can offering to help out someone who has fallen on difficult times be objectionable ?

I actually thought it was a very kind offer with no downsides. Hope you can still drop some stuff off for Scamps.

oh if only they would. I must have been at least 20 mins at the checkout in Asda today trying to use my APG. She scanned the barcode, scanned the other barcode, scanned the receipt, the till voided the lot, so it still said I owed the original amount.
So she tried again, using a short cut she had been shown how to use, the till voided the lot again!
Supervisor called, he put them through & the till voided them all. He suggested they had been used before & that was why they didn't work! I told him I wasn't happy he seemed to be accusing me of fraud.
This situation has been going on in my local Asda for weeks, every SA has a different solution, but today was by far the worst, The queue behind gave up & went elsewhere.
I suggested to the supervisor that maybe the manager should do something about it, only to be told the managers do nothing.
in the end I told him the total of the APGs & they were put through as coupons, leaving me 14p to pay as I expected.
Asda shopping is not a lot of fun at the moment!!:eek:

My nearest asda is exactly the same, but the one 2 miles further on can scan the coupon and barcode on receipt no problem.

Beware the elderflower, though it is probably as cheap as buying a filler for the sake of it.

SA put each voucher in at £2 so £3 extra off my shopping and the £2+ APG more than paid for my newspapers. All fillers removed but were items I needed or had MOCs for, so Picasso is very happy. Roll on the next time!

12 items (8 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda Tesco
    1x Stella Artois Cidre Raspberry Cider (500ML) £1.67 £1.66
    4x Stella Artois Cidre Cider (568ML) £6.67 £6.66
    2x Stella Artois Cidre Pear Cider (568ML) £3.34 £3.33
    1x Stella Artois Cidre Elderflower Cider (500ML) £1.65 £1.69
    1x Stella Artois Cidre Peach Cider (500ML) £1.67 £1.66
Comparison total (compared products only) £20.50 £20.50

Off to visit friends later this week. Sadly an email conversation reveals they are not cider drinkers. Shame!!

Still not 10% cheaper! But wish it had compared everything at £1.66 each and given us a few pence more:D:doh::rotfl:.

Do most A's have this system in place now? In the store I've been using lately, APG's scan just like any other MOC, they don't need to scan the barcode at the bottom or on the receipt.

Do you have radio on your TV?

Won't cond.spends not work instore anymore though since it would automatically be paying at Mr A's price on the brands it picks up?

Jam Roly Poly 50p in Farmfoods according to earlier info.

One other area (maybe I ought to do a list:rotfl:) where TBG may be of use though - if we watch out for this - is if any branded wines, for example, go onto a category offer such as "buy 6 get 25% off" in T as they should compare using T's full individual prices according to the t&cs. Of course to make that worthwhile, you would need to find branded wines that are all cheaper at one place elsewhere. I'm not aware of any such offer being on in T at the moment, so it's one to watch out for and hoping that it would work!

The other additional one I found - see!: TBG actually is of some limited use, of use to some people - is if you get staff discount at T as the price comp. is before that discount is taken off.

Meal deals (though they would now have to involve branded items:() are also one to look at, as well as things like buying cheese and getting crackers free (at least one sadly would have to be a brand) as T also can't take account of offers such as this. So, if they're giving you a "free" item for something - obviously not a regular bogo'f' offer as that doesn't get excluded by the system - then especially if the "free" item is a brand that is otherwise quite expensive individual price - preferably as expensive as possible:laugh: on T's price - and is preferably a lot lot cheaper elsewhere, it may be worthwhile. If it does what the t&cs suggest to me it would do. It seems that was the cat food bowl "glitch" situation from ages ago - probably the system in fact operating the way it should according to the rules.
