This year, DS1 will be old enough to understand the magic of xmas, and is young enough to still be happy with whatever toys santa can afford :money:.

There you are, I walk past certain items, even if they have offer prices on them (which I do still take a glance at and notice) because they 'never' go on good enough pricing. Branded laundry liquids are one. But then again I am trying to save time:cool:.

An admission. But at least it's best out in the open! Also, it's very wise thing to do generally: to walk past items in stores that just are no good pricing at all. I am able just to keep walking through entire sections sometimes that have nothing on offer:j. Obviously those sections are just waiting in between offers for items to go back on offer a few weeks later. (It also relates to how people more generally, i.e. not this thread, shops - visiting roughly once a week, picking up the same items and being caught overpaying on at least some of them, that are not on offer that week, whilst offers have moved around again. I like to think of offers as lit lightbulbs, that set up a pattern of different lighting locations in the stores each week - and we are best buying the configuration of lighting at the competitor that matches those offers. It is - it's rather like a Christmas lighting display, where the lights that are on and off change around and form the display.)

I've just got this feeling that somehow the Surf is on £2.42 in M even though msm says £5 and £5.12 on its graphs. I can't confirm it though - as I didn't think that was good enough for my 'comprehensive' check:wall:. I very narrowly missed taking down that range. There has been some laundry item like this on offer in M recently even if not now, but somehow I still think it was this week. Msm is completely at odds. However, whilst I was checking the A and T prices for the M list, I have noticed that there have clearly been some price changes in M in the last few days as msm has different prices now (on totally different items) that are definitely not last Wednesday's. Don't blame me if this returns M £5+:rotfl:. It's just a feeling I have, I could be completely wrong (but I must be getting it from somewhere in my mind - and my mind is usually absolutely 100% correct:D).

(Perhaps best for me to have a quick look around on msm to see if any other brands of laundry in M at around £2.42, as I could be mixing it up.)

So, maybe target Avs T, but also with items that don't lose out vs M and if it returns M much better, then it's a bonus. £4 is not nearly good enough though:rotfl:.

EDIT: Ignore me - it's the M own brand at £2.44:(.
(However... I still somehow think the Surf is £2.42 and I don't recall seeing the M own brand. So I'm still insistent it's the Surf. But then again, I often don't take "no" for an answer (and sometimes keep repeating a mistake) unless proven to be wrong. I don't recall seeing Surf and M own brand on offer though, just one, so if msm's saying M own brand, then it's M own brand. But still maybe target T with M backup just in case. Surely it is M own brand and not the Surf as it wouldn't both be liquid products coincidentally around the same price?) (Someone just say to me: Savvy - you're wrong! You can't go to M and tell if I'm right/wrong though, as it's last Wednesday we're talking about not now.)

That'll teach me not to fail to take down branded laundry powders' prices because I think they're not good enough!

EDIT 2: No, I reckon sadly it's the Morrisons on offer and not the Surf, even though I can picture the aisle with Surf offer labels and it not being as far along as the own brand items. They've been on offer for a few weeks - I thought it was the Surf - but msm has the M own brand offer as expiring on 25/10, so that is consistent with it being the M own brand. And a Surf offer would run through to Sunday and not be changed just after mid-week. Sorry folks - ignore me for wasting your time! I really thought there was the Surf on offer though.

    Thank you for trying, Savvy!

TBG - possible fillers (costing a total of £11.51:eek:, excluding the cost of whoopsies) that are believed to be good value on T's price.

    [...]
    3xTesco Everyday Value Multivitamins (30)39p Any 3 for 2
    [...]

Actually why are the multivitamins good value? There's only 90 of them and we've seen better prices elsewhere, on RTCs. So, I'm getting rid of them - changed my mind. Then again the entire list is poor value compared to all the 1p "Value shelf" items that people would be best buying if they can:rotfl:.

If anyone does see any items on any of my lists that they think should not be there, on the basis that they are too costly (or better alternatives are available that are cheaper, money-saving) then always do feel free to tell me!* Although we'll ignore the '1p items at T' situation as people can't always get those:rotfl:.

*Obviously I include myself in this!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've just wasted time trying to get a CC together and didn't spot that the website was set to a much larger store, not my local. When I did spot it, the shower gel disappeared. That made my vS shop not worth it :(. Just thought I'd mention it so that others don't make the mumpty mistake I just did!
