Oh no, hope you can find a way to enjoy it a little bit
This year, DS1 will be old enough to understand the magic of xmas, and is young enough to still be happy with whatever toys santa can afford :money:.
(stock image, DS1 is definitely a boy :rotfl:)
It always reminds me of drunken adults from my childhood
Was ok when DS was small and he waited for father Christmas :T
Since he left home I don't bother with a tree nor decorations I just put the few cards I receive on mantelpiece0 -
Savvybuyer - you might be the most informed person to ask as to the best place to get vitamin c and zinc
- we have taken it every winter since the one we both had the dreaded lurgy - it has to be the ones with zinc in as well as the vitamin c.
Previous years we have had the fizzy ones from Sainsburys which tend to be on 3 for 2 offer but I expect you will say ordinary tablets are better value.
I did look at them in Aldi which were supposed to be but without the glasses the label was not obviously vitamin c and zinSavvybuyer wrote: »Actually why are the multivitamins good value? There's only 90 of them and we've seen better prices elsewhere, on RTCs. So, I'm getting rid of them - changed my mind. Then again the entire list is poor value compared to all the 1p "Value shelf" items that people would be best buying if they can:rotfl:.
If anyone does see any items on any of my lists that they think should not be there, on the basis that they are too costly (or better alternatives are available that are cheaper, money-saving) then always do feel free to tell me!* Although we'll ignore the '1p items at T' situation as people can't always get those:rotfl:.
*Obviously I include myself in this!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

No, fizz away! I was thinking of the Iron Tablets that go down on offer in M and the Cod Liver Oil that went to really low price in A a while ago (before disappearing). Also occasional RTCs elsewhere. So that's why I then removed the multi-vitamins:huh:.
There must be some RTCs that beat T's 3 for '2' offer price. As for the 3 for '2's in Sains., I always find that T have 3 for '2' offer on an equivalent (Sains. would not accept it is of course, but we'll ignore that) but T has lower individual price. So I would have thought best buying at T, although I'm probably wrong. Moral: never assume anything with the supermarkets. M have had some offers on vitamin items, which again tend to switch around on the shelf like different lightbulbs coming on and off, but I don't know exactly what as, again, the prices don't seem fantastic. They'd be the own brand ones though - have you seen the prices on the branded versions? Offers for 2 for many pounds!! And people pay them. I will have a look specifically (if I remember) at zinc and vitamin C tomorrow though, just for you.
EDIT: To be fair, the M products should be on msm (/m.com). However, it is really good RTC items (at all stores) that won't be on there! (I'm not aware of any on vitamins at M earlier this week.) Out of interest, when I was doing the full A and T prices check for the M list - this is completely switching the topic btw;) - one area seemed to have a lot of products not on msm and it was the frozen foods area. Just seemed that a lot of those were not on msm, as well as occasional fresh fruit and veg. items (but less so than the amount that were missing from the frozen area). It's just a snapshot though, of the items that happen to be on the M list. And obviously it was just a percentage that were missing from msm, the majority are there!0 -
Brought from HUKD in relation to T CC points.
News: One of the biggest points opportunities is no more. 3V cards/pay.com cards have been pulled (you earned 150 points per £50 of pay.com gift cards bought at Tesco instore) and may possibly go into administration. If you have any pay.com cards suggest to use them as soon as possible. Easiest way would be to top up your Amazon account
