Storad Storage Heater help

Hi all,

Recently moved into a 1 bed flat with some old brown and cream storad storage heaters in and I'm new to the economy 7 style of working.

Now my questions are:

The heater has a convection dial on the left and then two switches on the right (I'm thinking these are input switches). Am I right? And if so, how do i then use the stored heat. There isn't an output dial on the heater all from what I can see.

There are two cables on the wall, I believe these are for peak and economy 7 power sources. If I just leave the economy 7 switch on, will it only input/store energy when the economy 7 hours are active?

Thanks in advance!
