in Credit cards
Was just about to sign my dredit agreement with cap.1 when I noticed there was a box showing total charge for credit £123. Now as I haven't even got the card yet couldn't work this one out. BUT looks like they have done an of unrequested balance transfer my husband's debt accrued on his totally separate card.
Now although I have requested him to be a second card holder on my account I have never requested a bt. of his debt, nor has he requested the debt on his card ( a separate type ) to be moved. This is his debt which he intends to complete paying and keeping his existing card.
This is really tacky business and now the department is shut until the morning. Am starting to question the legality of the unrequested transfer of his debt. Any ideas pls?

If that's really what has happened then it is not legitimate.
However most credit agreements show an example charge for credit, based on various assumptions. It doesn't mean that that's what you will pay - it means it's what you will pay IF you conduct your account in the way assumed by the example.
Are you sure you are not confusing it with this?0 -
Thanks for that, doesn't seem to be an example as it doesn't state this or give any other figures, but it could well be. I doo hope so. Will be giving them a call in the morning to clarify but won't now be jumping too quickly to conclusions. Thanks.;)0
